Welcome to Postcard
Kids:
I have included everything I can think of to make
learning Geography fun and cheap. On top on left hand & right
hand side you will see different catorgorys select the one that
interests you the most.
Started: Oct 2002 for my daughter to
collect postcards and learn about Geography
Who can Join:
HomeSchool families/Grandmas/Teachers/Public School kids 13yrs
up
How do you collect?: Once you join the group
introduce yourself and people will email you to ask to trade and you can
do the same when they introduce themselfs or look at past messages. Also
put your name in our state wide/Country database. This is not a chat group
so the board is quiet except for introductions.
What do you do with
them?: Do a unit study, do a lesson plan, c reate scrapbooks, put a map
of the world and insert pins to it as your postcards arrive, display
your postcards on a wall. Have different themes like collecting
state map cards or state bird cards.
What do you do when you
have finished collecting? I try to tell everyone not to rush this
is not a race. We have been collecting since 2002 and have yet to receive
the same card and each year we get something new from a different country.
I even have certificates for your kids collecting certain states and
countries that they can include in there geo notebook for a job well
done.

Joining
1. 13yr up can join with their email acct, younger
must be supervised on parents email account.
2. Supervision of all exchanging snail mail address via email is highly recommened under the supervision of the parent.
3. No advertising other postcard clubs, or harrasing other members with it via private email or posts, you may put/list it in our link sites.
4. Failure to send out a post card within a month time frame will get you banned from the group. Recommend to send it out within a week from the email you get agreeing to exchange.
5. No spamming! No sending out virus alerts! Lets keep it post card geography related topics, no controversial signatures, You can not set yourself up as “No Email” it must be “Special notices”

Note from
Owner: I do not in any way sale your email addresses when
joining. I strongly recommend when trading via email your snail mail
address that you do NOT include your phone number. Do not post to our
posts your snail mail address, all trades with another family giving out
your snail mail address must be done via private email with each other.
Please supervise all email trades with your children.
