If your one of the lucky people that live around us you might have a chance to barter with us. On this page I have listed gift ideas you can do on a budget plus our own bartering page of things we have and I am looking for.
 

Gift Ideas:
 
Birthday gifts ideas for kids:
*Small dollar books,
 
*A homemade chalkboard
 
*Give a first time wallet or purse to a little girl or boy fill it with a gift certificate to mcdonalds, comestic mirrow, lip gloss, library card, photos ect..

Box and gift basket ideas for kids
*Summer time you can get little bucket fill with sand stuff like bucket, shovel ect.,
*Great for homeschoolers a bucket with school supplies-crayons, markers, water colors, scissors, glue sticks, Elmer's glue, a small pad, pack of pencils and erasers, small pencil sharpener,.
 
*For girls sewing kit with fabric remnants, scissors,  spools of thread, pack of needles and pins, pincushion and maybe a simple pattern or two.
*Boys wood scraps, nails, small hammer, sandpaper OR simple stuff to make kites, plywood strips, thin fabric or paper, glue, tail stuff, string, older
 
*Girls bath products, soaps, shampoos, scrubby, nail clippers, clear polish, nail file, a cup filled with homemade cookies or candy.
 
*Beads, get a collection of bead set
 
*Scrapbook, with stickers and rubber stamps, scissors, A disposable camera, help them start a stamp collection or postcard collection by donating some to start them off.
 
*A rainy day box field with puzzles, coloring books, board game, cards to be taken out only when it rains.
 
*A sports box, field with jump ropes, jacks and ball, chalk, yo-yo, small things that would fit into a box
 
*Snow box, an old hat, scarf, carrot, buttons or coal for eyes and mouth, hot chocolate mix, mug, peppermint sticks to swizzle in the hot chocolate, microwave popcorn or cookie mix, holiday paper napkins, and a jigsaw puzzle.
*Kids Cooking box,a kid's cookbook, dry ingredients for one of the recipes, utensils such as cookie cutters, a wire whip and wooden spoons, and aprons for the kids from a craft store that you can paint cookie shapes
 
*A music box with tapes you get from flea markets of different kinds of music that a child will like.
 
*Ice Cream box ice cream bowls, scoop, toppings, sprinkles, chocolate syrup, a gift certificate for a half gallon of ice cream from your local ice cream shop
 
*Craft box, have everything a child would need to make a simple little craft, the mothers would appreciate it.
 

Adults gift ideas
 
*Make a scrapbook of the history of your relationship with the person
*If your a good cook and your friend loves your recipes Use your computer to make a family cookbook with a variety of recipes
*If you can knit or crochet, make the honoree a new scarf, hat, afghan or pair of mittens.
 
*Is your friend a reader? Make your own personalized bookmarkers for them.
 
*Got a camcorder? Make a keepsake video containing something that would be special to your friend.
 
*Do you have a green thumb? Start small clippings from your plants and collect pots when they come on sale. Then when they are ready give them as gifts.
 
*Is your friend busy and never has time to cook meals? Do a week or weekend worth of cooking. Fill her freezer with homemade meals that she can easily heat and serve rather than having to cook.
 
*Theme baskets create a basket of something you know your friend loves. Example movies? fill with popcorn and tv guide and all the things associated with it.
*Make flavored coffee mixes, soup mixes, layered cookie mixes, pasta theme ideas, or other similar ideas and put in pretty jars or basket
 
*Subscription to their favorite magazine or newspaper from their old home town.
 
*Gift of a clean house, have a maid service come in or volunteer yourself for a few hours, or make it specific I will clean your fridge or your garage etc.
 
*Dream/Theme binder book, is your friend have a dream for something like to redo her kitchen or porch. Does she love Xmas ideas or Easter, start a collection of ideas from magazines articles and get a three ring hole puncher and start to collect them for her and add it to her own personalized Dream binder.

Graduations gifts:
*Give a laundry bag, basic instructions on how to wash laundry, a container of laundry soap, dryer sheets, a small stain remover of some sort, and a small coin purse with quarters in it.
 
*An address book with a prepaid phone card to call home
 
*Make a homemade collage of your childs memorys to take with him to collage.

Wedding gifts:
*Give the couple a nice bottle of wine that you know they would like.
 
*Recipe book, if they are family they would appricate family recipes
*Romantic theme baskets of like breakfast in bed, romantic night with wine glasses, bottle of wine, bubbles, massage lotion

Frugal Date Ideas:
 
*Share a meal with your mate
 
*Go out and get a shake or share a banana split just like in the 50's Share a straw!
 
*Go roller skating with each other
 
* Go to a museum or zoo
 
*Have a romantic picnic with cheese and wine
 
*Put a blanket in the back yard and lay down and watch the stars!
 
*Give each other a massage with oils and scented candles and music in the back ground
 
*Take bike ride together
 
*Go to the place where you first met to rekindle old feelings
 
*Take a drive in the country or just drive!
 
*Watch your wedding video together or look at photo albums
 

Senior Citizen Gift Ideas: For the people that have it all:
 
*Women love especially frames really nice ones to put their grandkids in or photo albums Introduce them into scrapbooking! Take them to a class.
 
*Gift certificates from all places my parents favorites are McDonalds, Block Buster and movie tickets.
 
*Subscriptions to their favorite magazines.
 
*Forget the flowers give them a plant they can care for if they are into plants.
 
*Time! Give them some time with you take them to a movie or a show, someplace quiet to talk
 
*Take all there recipes and make a recipe book for them, make more copies so they can give to their kids.
 
*Find them a penpal or get them into postcard exchange clubs
 
 
*Put their old videos memorys into CD's
 
*Find out the seniors special interests or hobbys and give them a gift in that or something to help them in that hobby.
 
*A certificate to their favorite beauty shop
 
*A spa treatment for women, massage certificate for a man
 
*Bird feeders and humming bird feeders for the gardener

Certificates from HEB, Book Stores, Sears, JcPenny, Home Depot, Lowes.
 
 
We have to barter or sale:
Eggs Most times
Seasonal pecans(Oct/Nov), poultry, rabbit. (Must ask sometimes we dont have any, it is seasonal)
Broiler Chickens/Turkeys/lamb meat (SEASONAL)
Mozzerlla goat cheese
